I had plenty of problems getting the game to work for me. but do you have the old (legacy) directx runtimes? That is the link I posed and what has helped me in the past. I understand you have the latest directx. That fix is supposed to correct errors which happen right when the game launches into the race, typically it is some direct3d error. Does your fix have dlls placed in 2 folders, System32 and syswow64 ? I placed that directly in my windows folder.
